One of marketer’s most beloved aspects of brand pages for Facebook is the Landing Page, but not for much longer. The new Facebook does not have a landing page which has been a key component to many marketing campaigns in the recent years. Also, Facebook clearly states that marketers cannot encourage people to use their photo on their personal timeline accounts. You also cannot add your own tabs to the sidebar, but you can show your apps next to your profile photo.
The backend of the site has also been changed in the new Facebook timeline. There are more analytic features for brand managers to analyze, along with reach and “talking about” statistics. In combination with Facebook’s launch of real time statistics, marketers will have more ability to oversee the content on their site.
