Facebook continues to experiment with ways to indicate to users that social content is being shared, with some users seeing a new icon that alerts them if clicking the link will lead to stories being posted on their news feeds.
In the latest test by Facebook, a small icon next to the name of social news and social video applications appears grey if sharing is disabled, and green if social sharing is enabled.
In addition, hovering over the icon brings up messages informing users whether or not social sharing is active.
